I like taking complicated things and making them easier to understand at a glance. That's the problem I keep coming back to: whether I'm building a brand system or laying out a single presentation slide for someone to read in a few seconds.
At SCADpro, I led design on a proposal for Netflix Games, where the challenge wasn't just making something look good. It was mapping an 80-page internal process into a single Journey Map graphic clear enough to present to their team in one sitting. On a separate SCADpro project with FINRA, I directed a student team through producing four internal training videos, translating regulatory material into something people would actually watch and retain.
At Dimensional Fund Advisors, I saw design from the inside of a real organization across two internships: building slides used in actual client meetings, and later reworking their visual assets (100+ files, 30 YouTube thumbnails) to match a brand refresh already in motion. It taught me that good design isn't just about the moment it's presented. It's about surviving contact with a real, fast-moving organization.
Before any of that, I ran my own small business hand-painting custom leather sneakers: sourcing materials, managing production, and designing one-off pieces to match each client's vision. It's where I first learned that a client's vague idea and a finished, physical object are two very different things, and that closing that gap is most of the job.
Off-screen, I was captain of SCAD's Women's Soccer team, named to the 2025 All-Conference 1st Team. I’m also a 3-time Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Sun Conference All-Academic honoree. In 2024, we made program history by becoming National Champions. You'd be surprised how much soccer and design work have in common. Both involve a lot of feedback, a hard deadline, and the discipline to keep improving something that's already pretty good.
